We are one of the longest-established fireworks companies based in Hong Kong, exporting fireworks manufactured in China directly to the United States and Europe since 1974. Our founder, Ewan Cheung, began his career in the fireworks industry in 1960, laying the foundation for decades of experience and expertise. The company was originally established under the name Oriental Fireworks (東方煙花).
Today, we manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of fireworks, including consumer fireworks, professional display fireworks, and close-proximity fireworks. Over the years, the company has evolved from a trading operation into a fully integrated manufacturing group, operating several production facilities located in Hunan and Guangxi, China.
Our Brands
Our portfolio includes two distinct and internationally recognized brands: VULCAN and SHOGUN.
The VULCAN brand was launched in 1992 to represent our own high-quality manufactured products, including hydraulic machine-pressed rockets and European-style display shells. VULCAN quickly gained strong recognition in Europe by offering premium-quality Chinese fireworks that met professional standards at a competitive price compared to European production.
The SHOGUN brand was introduced to the United States in 1998. What began as a revitalized range of popular Chinese fireworks—featuring improved performance and modern packaging—has since grown into a comprehensive consumer fireworks brand with over 1,000 products. Today, SHOGUN is primarily marketed in the USA as a consumer fireworks brand, while VULCAN represents our premium professional display fireworks range and consumer fireworks range marketed in Europe.
About Vulcan Europe
Vulcan Europe B.V. was established in 2014. Operating from our headquarters in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and supported by a large, strategically located storage facility in Olfen, Germany, we supply a broad network of customers throughout the Netherlands and across Europe. In Scandinavia, Vulcan fireworks are marketed by Vulcan Europe AB, based in Sweden (formerly Linders Fyrverkeri), while in the United Kingdom our products are distributed by Vulcan Pyrotechnics (UK) Ltd.
With a total European storage capacity exceeding 4 million kilograms, Vulcan is a strong and well-established player in the European fireworks market. The majority of our products are supplied as standard with multilingual European warning texts, ensuring compliance with EU regulations and ease of distribution across multiple markets.
